O’Melveny & Myers, LLP is a law firm with over 1000 employees and 14 offices worldwide. Their Los Angeles office has a Lactation room stocked with comfortable chairs, spare pump parts, a refrigerator, snacks, magazines and education materials. Additionally, this year in partnership with Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, and Oaktree Capital Management L.P, O’Melveny & Meyers, started a subsidized on-site child-care next door to their office. From managing partner, Carla Christofferson: “ We are having a baby boom at our firm.  While our attorneys always had families, we have had approximately 10 babies born last year and we currently have at least 6 more women attorneys pregnant.  Often, in the past, women left the firm when they were ready to start a family because they just didn't feel like it was feasible to stay at O'Melveny if they wanted to have children.  While we only have a few new babies at Hope Street Friends so far, the availability of it and, frankly, just the commitment it shows from the firm, has had a tremendous effect on the morale of the women”
