Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Services (2010)

Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Services was the first Baby-Friendly designated hospital in Los Angeles County. They received their designation in 2005. Glendale Memorial has two lactation rooms with Medela pumps for their employees, free lactation consults, education, support services and free pump kits. Human Resources enacted their employee WLA policy in 2002! This year, Glendale Memorial was also the recipient of the CBC state award, the “Mother Baby Friendly Workplace Award”. Only 5 Hospitals in the state received that award.
