The Breastfeeding Task Force of Greater Los Angeles and the Breastfeeding Coalition Ventura County will present the Family Health Promotion Award to companies that support lactation accommodation.

Breastfeeding Works will facilitate:

  1. Working with your Human Resources Department to assess your organization's lactation accommodation needs.

  2. Drafting a custom lactation policy to fit organization.

  3. Assisting your organization to identify time and space for your employees to express milk during the workday.

  4. Incorporating a section on breastfeeding for the general sexual harassment training provided to all employees.

  5. Training for employees who work with breastfeeding mothers in the workplace or provide customer service to mothers who frequent your business.

  6. Providing specific lactation services: breast pump rentals, prenatal classes for employees and spouses, clinical lactation consultation.

  7. Recognizing organizations with the Breastfeeding Friendly Employer Award.
